Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Cambridge; Director, EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment; leads international work on sustainable and innovative materials for construction and the environment. Particular expertise relates to low-carbon and self-healing construction materials, ground improvement, soil mix technology and contaminated land remediation. Author of over 250 publications and five book chapters.
