Amit Narayan is an entrepreneur and technology innovator focused on climate AI, energy systems and advanced computing. He co-founded GridCARE and founded Aina Climate AI Ventures, a platform focused on building climate solutions powered by generative AI. Previously, he founded AutoGrid, whose virtual power plant platform was deployed across 20 countries before its acquisition by Schneider Electric in 2022. Earlier in his career, he led smart grid research at Stanford University and founded Berkeley Design Automation, while also serving as Vice President of Products at Magma Design Automation. His work has been recognized with awards including Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, Bloomberg New Energy Pioneer and EDN’s Innovation of the Year. He is also an active advisor, mentor, investor and board member to several Silicon Valley companies. Narayan holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
