Dan is responsible for the World Economic Forum's trade and investment workstreams in Greater China. Previously, he worked for the UK's trade ministry (DBT) and foreign ministry (FCDO), and before that he had a number of private sector positions in private equity, investment banking, and insurance in London and Beijing.
Dan holds a Global MBA from Tsinghua University and an MEng in Aeronautics from Imperial College London. Dan is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He was appointed a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the 2021 New Year Honours List for services to British foreign policy.
