David Hill
David was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Asia Pacific on 1 June 2022. As Asia Pacific CEO, David leads a team of over 5,000 Partners and 99,000 professionals across 20 geographies with the goal of harnessing the full capabilities of the firm to deliver the highest quality service to clients.
Prior to his current role, David served as Asia Pacific Deputy CEO & Chief Operating Officer, where his focus was on delivering a world-class operating model for Deloitte’s operations in Asia. He was also previously Chief Operating Officer of Deloitte Australia and led its national mid-market business, Deloitte Private; its national M&A Transaction Services business and its Corporate Finance business in South Australia. Having been with Deloitte for over 29 years, David has gained extensive international experience across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.
Outside Deloitte, David was a member of the Council of The University of Adelaide from 2014 to August 2023 and served as Deputy Chancellor from 2020 to 2022. In 2011 he was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Adelaide. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).
