Hanming Fang

Professor of economics, University of Pennsylvania

Hanming Fang is a professor of economics at the University of Pennsylvania. His current research focuses on issues related to the interaction between the insurance markets and labor markets, as well as aspects of Chinese economy. He obtained his B.A. degree in economics from Fudan University, and Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He served on the faculty at Yale University and Duke University before returning to Penn in 2009. He is a co-editor of International Economic Review, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research where he currently directs the Chinese Economy working group.
