Mazen Darwazah is Hikma Pharmaceuticals’ Executive Vice Chairman and President of MENA, responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the business across the MENA region. With over 40 years of service at Hikma, Mazen has held a wide range of leadership positions within the Group.
In addition to his role at Hikma, he is currently serving his fifth term as a senator in the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Mazen also serves as a Board Director at Rakuten Medical, Inc., a global biotechnology company developing and commercialising precision, cell-targeting therapies.
Mazen continues to hold various public and charitable positions. He is a Trustee of Birzeit University and King’s Academy, and a member of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan’s Economic Policy Council. He previously served as President of the Jordanian Association of Manufacturers of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Appliances, and as a board member of the Central Bank of Jordan. He is a recipient of Al-Hussein Medal for Distinguished Contributions of the First Order.
Mazen holds a BA in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University and an AMP from INSEAD.
