New research suggests than the achievement gaps between multilingual and other students have closed significantly.
I study the language and literacy development of students from linguistically diverse backgrounds. As a former middle school teacher, I aim to conduct research that can inform instruction and policy to improve the reading outcomes of students in urban schools, especially adolescent English learners.
