Paul Anastas, Ph.D., is a chemist, teacher, author, entrepreneur, public servant and
Program Director of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation’s Green Chemistry
Initiative. Paul began his career at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency before
taking on roles at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Paul was
also Director of the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering at Yale
University and Professor. In addition to his academic, nonprofit, and governmental work,
he has co-founded five companies, consulted with numerous Fortune 100 companies,
and advised several venture capital funds focused on sustainable innovations.
