Per Kristian Hong is a Kearney partner and core member of the firm’s Strategic Operations and Transformation practice. Per has more than 25 years of experience helping companies derive strategic foresight around geopolitical, economic and technological shifts to help senior business leaders navigate disruption in their global operations and build long-term strategic advantage through supply chain transformations. He has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, market entry, operations strategy, and transformation, serving clients in the consumer products, specialty chemicals, metals and mining and life sciences & healthcare industries.
As an expert in his field, Per is a frequent speaker and has authored numerous studies and white papers, helping to pioneer Kearney’s perspectives and operations-related initiatives around resilience and the future rewiring of global supply chains. He currently serves as the Global leader of the Kearney Foresight network and has led Kearney’s global collaboration with the World Economic Forum and the Advanced Manufacturing and Production System platform since 2018. Per brings a high degree of passion working to equip global clients with the means to compete, grow, and thrive in a global economy. He possesses deep knowledge of how to operate in both developed and developing markets and has a wealth of experience helping major multinational and local corporations alike grow and win in challenging market environments.
Client-focused and not afraid to take risks, Per began his Kearney career as an associate in the London office, where he was based from 1997 to 2005 before transferring to Chicago. From 2010 to 2016, while based in Moscow, he served as the managing partner of Kearney’s unit in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, growing the team and leading the region through five consecutive years of double-digit growth while navigating market uncertainties. Per earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian literature with a minor in international relations from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
