Dr. Shuai Wei is Feodor Lynen Postdoctoral Research Fellow from Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation and work in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Arizona State University, hosted by Prof. C. Austen Angell. He is holding a visiting scholar position in the lab of Prof. Pierre Lucas in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Arizona.
His research fields are materials science, applied physics and chemistry. More specifically, his work focuses on bulk metallic glasses and phase-change chalcogenide glasses. He investigates the structure, thermodynamics and kinetics of various amorphous materials and promotes a better understanding of relationship between these properties and their connections to atomic-scale structure.
