Ted Moynihan is a Managing Partner at Oliver Wyman, and has been with the firm for over nearly thirty years.
Ted has held a number of very senior roles in the firm, including leading Financial Services globally for 6 years and more recently as our global head of Industries for 5 years, including Banking, Insurance, Energy, Healthcare, Private Capital, Transportation, Government, Consumer and others. Oliver Wyman have over 700 partners globally active in these industries, focused on strategic advise and supporting our clients through their transformative moments.

Ted personally has concentrated over his career on Financial Services, building Oliver Wyman in this area into the clear market leader. Most of Ted’s advisory work is with CEOs on Banking and Insurance transformation, strategy, operating structure, financial management and operations.

Key areas of focus for Ted:

-Group-wide strategy, growth and portfolio management
-Digital transformation
-Wholesale banking with a particular focus on Global Investment Banks
-Financial resource management across capital, funding, balance sheet leverage
-Organisation effectiveness and efficiency

Ted has worked with firms across the world with a focus on the largest universal and global banks
Ted advises several industry bodies, policy makers and regulatory bodies assisting in the development of strong policy and regulatory rule-making.

Ted’s background is in control engineering and mathematics, his specialty for a number of years before joining Oliver Wyman.
