Mr. WEN Shugang started his career in June, 1986. He was the Deputy to the 13th National People’s Congress, and is the Member of the 14th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference National Committee. He used to serve as General Manager of the Import and Export Corporation of Dongfang Electric Group, Deputy Chief Economist and Assistant President of Dongfang Electric Group, Vice President of Dongfang Electric Group, and later as President of Dongfang Electric Co., Ltd. After that, he served as Director of the Board and President of China Huadian Group, and subsequently as Chairman of China Huadian Group. He started to serve as Chairman of China Huaneng Group since September, 2022.

Mr. WEN was born in February, 1963. He holds a doctoral degree and is a professor-level Senior Engineer.
