Yamila Castro is the Communications Lead at Cities Alliance, a UNOPS global partnership driving sustainable development in cities. She has more than 15 years of experience managing strategic communications and advocacy at the global level. Prior to joining Cities Alliance, she worked with the International Committee of the Red Cross across different countries in Africa as a Media Relations Manager and Spokesperson and as a Consultant for EU-funded programmes. With work experience spanning Europe, Latin America and Africa, Yamila's background encompasses diverse subjects – from peace, security and humanitarian aid to international migration and sustainable development.
