
Building foundations for Sudan’s recovery through digital identity
Sudan’s national digital identity system could help strengthen peacebuilding, support state coherence and reintroduce some predictability to the region.
Yousif Yahya is an MBA candidate at the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School) and a Skoll Scholar. He serves as Co-Chair of the Oxford Africa Business Alliance and President-elect of the Oxford Sudanese Society, where he works at the intersection of business, policy, and institution-building.
Yousif is the Founder of Savannah Innovation Labs, advising and investing in startups across Africa with a focus on frontier markets, post-conflict reconstruction, and blended finance. His interests include Africa–Gulf investment corridors, financial inclusion, digital public infrastructure, and the role of private capital in state-building and economic transformation.
