Countries are targeting AI disinformation ahead of elections

Half the world population is set to vote this year. Governments and businesses in North America and Europe have announced how they’re planning to fight fake news. The US has banned robocalls that use AI-generated voices. These can imitate celebrities, exploit vulnerable people and misinform voters.
