This breakthrough treatment for cervical cancer could reduce deaths and relapses by 35%

It uses cheap, already-approved drugs to add a course of chemotherapy before starting conventional treatment. The doctor leading the trial hailed it as the biggest cervical cancer treatment advance in 20 years. Cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer among women. 90% of new cervical cancer cases are in low- and middle-income countries.
