Doctors want to use AI, but their patients are less sure

79% of healthcare professionals are optimistic that AI can improve patient outcomes. Fewer patients are optimistic about AI in healthcare overall. Can this trust gap be closed? Healthcare professionals say AI can reduce wait times for patients, automate repetitive tasks, and help them work more efficiently - and with a predicted global shortfall of 11 million clinical staff by 2030, these gains are becoming ever more valuable.  Carla Goulart Peron, Chief Medical Officer at Philips, says the main reason for the gap in optimism between staff and their patients is a lack of trust in AI. It can be closed, though - as she explains.
