The EU says you have a ‘right to be forgotten’. But what does that mean?

As our digital footprints leave a longer and longer trail there may be things about us we want deleted from the internet. In 2014, the EU enshrined the ‘right to be forgotten’ as a legal ruling. It’s also known as the ‘right to erasure’ It lets people request that online platforms to remove specific personal information which may be outdated or inaccurate.
