On these remote Scottish islands, mail is being delivered by drone

Drones fly up to 6kg of packages and letters from Orkney’s mainland to the smaller islands of Graemsay and Hoy. Where a Royal Mail worker collects them for house delivery. Drones could make the islands’ mail service much more reliable. The islands are separated by a few kilometres of ocean. Usually, mail shipments are made by boat. But poor conditions can interrupt the service, so Britain’s postal service has launched a 3-month drone trial.
