This cable car carries you from Switzerland to Italy

It’s Europe’s highest-altitude border crossing. The Matterhorn Alpine Crossing links 2 existing cable car stations. The Klein Matterhorn station in Switzerland, at 3,800m altitude and Testa Grigia in Italy at 3,460m. The route passes over the Theodul Glacier. It’s 1.6km long and takes 4 minutes. This new stretch is the final link in a much longer route. Passengers can now travel from the Swiss ski resort of Zermatt to the Italian resort of Cervinia.
