She was also Team Leader for the Interdependencies on Energy and Climate Security for the China and Europe Project; Policy and Strategy Adviser at the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development in Geneva; Policy Director at the Aga Khan Foundation (UK); Officer in the Strategic Planning Unit in the UN Secretary-General's office in New York; Warren Weaver Fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation; and Research Associate at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. As Lecturer and Part-time Lecturer, she taught many postgraduate and undergraduate courses at the University of Birmingham, Birkbeck College and the London School of Economics (LSE).
