Marco Albani, Ph.D. is the CEO and co-founder of Chloris Geospatial, a venture-backed start-up that uses remote sensing and machine learning to measure natural capital assets from space. Chloris Geospatial was recognized as a top innovator in the Carbon Market Challenge of UpLink at the World Economic Forum. He was the first director of the Tropical Forest Alliance at the World Economic Forum, and previously a Senior Expert with the sustainability practice of McKinsey & Co, a consultancy. Trained as forester in Italy, he holds a doctorate in forest sciences from the University of British Columbia and was a research scientist at Harvard University.
