PZU

PZU is the parent company of entities making up the PZU Capital Group, the largest organization in the Polish insurance sector. The company has activities in life, non-life, and health insurance, as well as investments in pension, healthcare and banking products. It became a joint stock company in 1991 as a result of the transformation of Panstwowy Zaklad Ubezpieczen, owned by the Polish Treasury. The group includes the life insurance company PZU Zycie. PZU also operates in the Baltics and Ukraine.
