The rise of the power economy – from storing energy to controlling power
High-power energy storage system (ESS) will become a vital enabler of the future power economy, which will rely on effective systems that control flow.
Standard Energy was founded by alumni and professors from KAIST in the Republic of Korea and MIT. The company designs and produces small to large-scale secondary batteries for energy storage systems (ESS) based on vanadium ion battery technologies. Holding patents for their groundbreaking technologies, Standard Energy is currently manufacturing prototype products. The company is also preparing to offer electric power services for virtual power plants and electric vehicle hyper charging stations. Its goal is to provide a platform for the equitable use of electrical energy by all humankind through these innovative technologies and services.
