The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) brings together a broad network of investment agencies, boards of investment, ministerial-level departments and other public and private entities tasked with promoting a country (or region) as an investment destination. Created in 1995, it provides its member agencies with advice on their foreign direct investment strategies with respect to their promotional efforts and facilitation services. It counts on 167 agencies from over 120 different countries.
