Sakthikumar Ramachandran is an Indian aerospace engineer, researcher, and entrepreneur from a small village in Tamil Nadu, India. Driven by a vision to make space sustainable and accessible for future generations, he founded OrbitAID Aerospace, one of India’s pioneering private space companies working on satellite life extension, orbital refueling, and in-space servicing technologies.
With expertise in satellite propulsion and in-orbit systems, he is leading the development of technologies for autonomous docking, refueling, and orbital logistics to support a circular economy in space, reduce space debris, and enhance long-term orbital sustainability.
Through OrbitAID’s vision of building “Fuel Stations in Space,” Sakthikumar aims to position India at the forefront of next-generation space infrastructure and sustainable space operations.
