Yasushi Sasaki is the Chair of the Asia Pacific Region at Boston Consulting Group, based in Tokyo. He oversees BCG's business across Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. He brings over two decades of leadership across Northeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
From 2019 to 2024, he led BCG’s Northeast Asia System, focusing on strengthening presence in Japan and Korea. Under his guidance, with a sharp commercial acumen and balanced leadership style, he led the region to sustained double-digit growth and strong profitability. Previously, he led BCG’s Asia Pacific Financial Institutions Practice, advising top CEOs on strategic transformations, organization, sales, and digital strategy.
Prior to BCG, He worked both in Tokyo and London for the Industrial Bank of Japan (now Mizuho Financial Group), where he was responsible for M&A advisory and leveraged finance.
