1 In 3 European Workers Quitting Jobs in the Next 6 Months

Experts say this is a remarkably high rate of attrition for the region, especially in the face of a looming recession. This trend is widening the existing skills gap in Europe. 3% of positions in the EU were unfilled in June this year. That’s almost double the 1.6% rate recorded in June 2020. McKinsey surveyed more than 16,000 workers in 9 EU countries. Just over 40% of workers planning to quit jobs cited inadequate pay. Here are more reasons for workers quitting jobs and what employers can do about it.
