These Chilean 'seed guardians' are bringing back forgotten food varieties

This video is part of: Centre for Nature and Climate

They want to protect the traditional crops grown by their ancestors while keeping them safe from industrialized agriculture and genetic modification. The guardians are collecting, swapping and growing hundreds of seeds, reviving varieties traditionally grown by the Indigenous Mapuche people. They include different kinds of tomatoes, corn and other vegetables.
