The call for climate action has more supporters than many people assume, according to a study from the University of Bonn. Researchers canvassed 130,000 people from 125 countries, 89% said they support stronger action on the climate while 69% said they would donate 1% of their monthly income to climate action. But when asked to guess how many other people would be willing to donate, too, respondents underestimated the answer by an average of 26%. This discrepancy could be hampering effective action, say the researchers.
