Davos AM23 - Mastering New Energy Economics - English

Energy leaders came together to discuss the outlook for 2023 at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos in January in a panel session titled Mastering New Energy Economics. Energy systems have experienced a series of shocks, forcing many governments to step in to protect citizens and companies from skyrocketing prices while scrambling to shore up national energy security. As decision-makers worldwide strive to craft energy strategies for the year ahead, how can they reconcile energy resilience, affordability and sustainability? The Head of the IEA, Fatih Birol, headed up the panel in the 'Mastering New Energy Economics' which was developed in collaboration with CNN. <i>This session is directly linked to the ongoing work of the Platform for Shaping the Future of Energy, Materials and Infrastructure of the World Economic Forum.<i>
