2022 saw a wave of women-led protests in Iran, earning widespread international solidarity. What is the outlook for Iranian women in 2023, and how do we secure their civic space? This session at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, titled, ‘Women’s Rights In Iran – What Next?’ is led by three impressive women, including Tirana Hassan, the acting Executive Director at Human Rights Watch in the US; Nazanin Boniadi, an Iranian-British actress and human rights activist; and Masih Alinejad, an Iranian-American journalist and women’s rights activist.
