AkoFresh’s Cold Storage Containers Are Saving Ghana’s Fruit And Vegetables

These off-grid cold storage containers are saving Ghana's fruit and vegetables, extending the shelf life of produce from 5 days to 21 days. They run on solar and thermal energy, making them independent of the grid. Globally, 30-40% of food is lost before it reaches the market due to problems with storage, processing, and transportation. This unnecessary waste threatens global food security and economic stability as well as contributes to 10% of humanity’s greenhouse gas emissions. AkoFresh offers sustainable cold storage containers to the farmers of Ghana. Watch the video to learn more.
