The 10 countries with the most top-ranked universities

The US has the most top-ranked universities in the world — far more than any other country.
A new ranking from US News & World Report lists the 750 best global universities, with 181 American schools making the list.
By comparison, China, which came in second on the overall list, has 57 schools represented.
The majority of the universities in US News’ top 20 were American, including Harvard University in the top spot. The ranking also featured three British universities and a Canadian university.
