Which cities have the best reputation?
Sydney has been named the world’s most reputable city by the Reputation Institute’s annual City RepTrak report.
The report is a global survey of over 22,000 G8 country consumers. It ranks the world’s 100 most reputable cities on four levels: trust, esteem, admiration and respect. Perceptions on 13 attributes are then grouped into 3 overriding dimensions – advanced economy, effective government and appealing environment.
Melbourne follows Sydney to take an Australian 1-2 at the top of the list. Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, completes the top three.
The top 10 is dominated by European cities, with 7 in Europe. Vancouver, in 5th, and Sydney and Melbourne are the only cities to break this monopoly.
