Hashendra is the Chief of Staff to the MD, and Strategy Lead at the World Economic Forum's Centre for Nature and Climate. His skillset is built across the corporate, non-profit and start-up sectors, particularly in sustainable business strategy, and strategic project management. He co-authored “I Am Inspired”, the first publication to highlight global Sri Lankan-origin leaders across diverse industries, and founded the Sparklers Foundation to up-skill South Asian youth in the areas of steward leadership, and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the Forum, his most recent roles were Lead Business Expert for Green Energy Champion, Sri Lanka’s first start-up accelerator for sustainability innovators, and Strategic Consultant to the University of Sydney Business School on their post-COVID graduate job skills strategy. Hashendra is a Climate Reality Leader, and previously served as Vice-Curator of the Global Shapers Community in Sydney, Australia.
