Sustainability at our meetings

The Forum brings together stakeholders to help address the greatest ecological crisis of our time. Our platforms aim to facilitate action-oriented communities of stakeholders from all parts of the international system. We recognise that in offering these platforms, we consume finite resources and cause emissions. We take the utmost care to minimize and mitigate our environmental impact, implementing region-specific actions to further reduce our footprint wherever possible.

As our largest and most influential gathering, it inevitably has the highest climate impact. Acknowledging this, we are deeply committed to reducing our environmental footprint through proactive measures. We prioritise sustainable sourcing, lean design principles, and minimise waste.

During AMGFC, the Forum sustainability focus is on sourcing from local suppliers, renting the furniture and reusing wall elements to minimize waste. Food is, when not avoidable, served in recyclable bamboo containers, and plastic bottles are eliminated to cut down on single-use plastics.
