Brazil is on the way to becoming a 'nature superpower', says this expert

One of the most biodiverse countries on the planet is putting nature first. Brazil hosts 15-20% of the world’s animal and plant species. Its vast territory spans six biomes, from tropical rainforest to savanna - and it holds 10% of the world’s freshwater. From these foundations, Brazil can emerge as the world’s first nature superpower, says Ilona Szabo de Carvalho, president of the Igarapé Institute.
