We truly live in the age of climate litigation. The total number of climate change legal actions issued globally is about 2,000 cases, covering some 43 countries, with around a quarter issued in the past two years. Could this rapidly evolving field create a tipping point in climate law? And what could be the potentially far-reaching implications for shaping the climate response of countries and companies, including with regard to the much discussed issue of loss and damage?
