This e-banking platform is narrowing Pakistan's financial gap

Empowering the citizens of Pakistan to experience seamless banking with a simple feature phone. This represents a significant step towards ensuring maximum participation of its citizens in the economy, especially for women.

Only 30% of Pakistan’s adult population has access to financial services. 47% of men have at least one registered financial account, but only 13% of women do. The Asaan Mobile Account (AMA) platform is revolutionizing mobile banking in Pakistan, and helped open over 7 million accounts in 2023.

The platform is a key component of Pakistan’s commitment to the World Economic Forum’s EDISON Alliance, providing a dedicated effort to bridge the digital divide in financial services.
