Europe boasts high levels of household and mobile broadband adoption, positioning it as a top digitally connected region globally.
By 2021, home broadband penetration in Europe was at 90.2%, while mobile broadband penetration more than doubled from 2012 to 2021.
These figures underscore Europe's remarkable progress in connectivity over the past decade, says Statista.

Europe is one of the most connected regions worldwide, a fact underlined by the penetration rate of household and mobile broadband across the continent.

By 2021, the rate of home broadband in Europe was close to saturation with a penetration rate of 90.2 percent, having jumped up from just over 70.6 percent in 2012. Furthermore, the rapid growth of mobile broadband has been even more impressive. Over the same time period, the penetration rate more than doubled from 46.2 percent in 2012 to 104 percent in 2021.
