COP30 Open Letter: My advice for the energy transition? If you're not on board, you should hurry

This video is part of: Centre for Nature and Climate

‘A few years ago, we acted on the hypothesis that climate-smart business would be good for business. Today, we know the business case is delivering.’ In this interview, Jesper Brodin, CEO of IKEA and member of the Alliance Of CEO Climate Leaders, explains why sustainable growth is a business reality. Now, he says, governments must help companies scale up what’s already working. Representing 130+ major companies with $4 trillion in combined revenues, the Alliance is urging policy-makers to act on climate change. Their message is clear: Business is already cutting emissions at scale. Now we need policies that unlock green markets, speed the transition and build a nature-positive, low-emissions economy. The choices made today will define the pace of climate action for decades to come. As the world looks to #COP30, momentum is building for collective action on climate change. The World Economic Forum and its partners are helping scale what already works - from innovative finance models to business-led solutions that deliver sustainable prosperity, for #PeoplePlanetProgress.
