Why Is Climate Change Loss And Damage Finance On COP27 Agenda

Not every country bears the impacts of global warming equally. Countries, including Pakistan, are calling for loss and damage finance to recover from extreme weather events. Developing countries could face up to $580 billion in annual climate costs by 2030. But so far, only 5 countries have pledged to address loss and damage directly. Here’s why paying countries' loss and damage from climate change is on the COP27 agenda.
