The 5 job sectors most exposed to AI

An entry-level job is usually the first stepping stone in a career. Workers at the bottom of the hierarchy often do the routine, repetitive, but crucial tasks for those higher up the ladder while they develop their own skills and get to know their new workplace.

Today, however, AI is upending that paradigm. Many of the tasks traditionally performed by the most junior workers can be augmented or automated. Today, 37% of young workers around the world are in roles with a medium to high exposure to AI-driven disruption.

A new World Economic Forum report, developed in collaboration with PwC, examines the impact of AI on entry-level work and identifies priorities for safeguarding and reinventing early-career pathways.
