Every two years, the World Economic Forum ranks countries as traveller destinations - not using simple visitor numbers, but against a set of indicators showing their ‘tourism readiness’. These include the quality of roads and the number of hotel rooms to the sustainability of its tourism infrastructure and the quality of natural and cultural attractions.
