How neurotechnology can change lives

After an accident left Jennifer French paralysed, she was told she would never walk or work again. A neurotechnology implant proved those predictions wrong, however, and French went on to become a Paralympic medallist. She is now Founder and Executive Director of the Neurotech Network. This technology could improve many lives, she says – but it also presents risks that must be addressed. The World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Neurotechnology is working to ensure this innovation is deployed fairly and responsibly.
