In 1999, Jemilah Mahmood co-founded the humanitarian organization MERCY Malaysia. Since then it has delivered assistance and health solutions in 32 countries, working in partnership with both local communities and the natural world. Today Mahmood leads the Centre for Planetary Health at Sunway University.
