The world added 50% more renewable capacity last year than in 2022

It’s the fastest rate of growth in more than 20 years and experts expect it to get even faster in the next 5 years. The biggest success story by far was China. It added more solar capacity in 2023 than the rest of the world put together in 2022, putting China on track to generate half of its electricity renewably by 2030.
