This start-up harvests magnesium from seawater

Magnesium is the lightest of all structural metals. It's 75% lighter than steel and 33% lighter than aluminium. As such it can be used to builf lighter and more energy-efficient vehicles and aircraft. US start-up Tidal Metals have developed a low-cost, zero-carbon method of recovering magnesium from seawater.
