Resilient AI Governance and Regulation

Resilient AI Governance and Regulation

The Resilient Governance and Regulation working group brings together over 120 stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and civil society to address the challenges of governing generative AI and converging technologies. Through a multi-stakeholder approach, the community facilitates public-private and international collaboration, shaping a global governance ecosystem that is both inclusive and interoperable.

By focusing on anticipatory governance and the creation of robust institutions, the group aims to close regulatory gaps and promote responsible practices that can adapt to future advancements in AI. Key achievements include the publication of "Advancing Responsible AI Innovation: A Playbook," which provides practical guidance for leaders to operationalize governance strategies, and the development of the "Governance in the Age of Generative AI" framework, empowering policy-makers and regulators with resilient, adaptive tools for oversight. Regular in-person and virtual dialogues further advance solutions for effective AI governance implementation, supporting the vision of long-term, adaptable, and responsible AI governance.
